Will Teran Gallery provided his art filled loft studio and gallery for the opening reception of artists and patrons in the City of Newburgh last Friday night.
The number of artists living and working in the City of Newburgh has exploded in recent years with the addition of resources in the area such as foundries and printers, framers and art schools. Due to the growing popularity of the Hudson River Valley as a live and work place for artists who leave New York neighborhoods in search of more affordable lifestyles, public schools and artisan stores selling specialty foods and organic produce and meats have popped up all over the City of Newburgh.
Liberty Street is the meeting place in Newburgh at the Wherehouse, Martha, and Cafe Machiatto for the artists as well as nearby Mt. St. Mary and Orange County Community Colleges.
